Founder and Principal Consultant

Before consulting, Gary led engineering teams developing state-of-the-art products at Tektronix, Laird Technologies, PEI/Motorola Solutions and SAIC. His consulting experience includes product development leadership, process improvements, business start-up, training program development, and organizational restructuring. He created Auxilium’s Agile Engineering Leadership Program core workshops and co-founded the Modified Agile for Hardware Development (MAHD) framework.

Shailesh has over 25 years of global experience in product development leadership including product management, program management and engineering executive leadership roles. With a reputation for delivering innovative products that solve customer problems, he has launched over 50 products serving various industries at companies including Amazon, Mueller, Newell, BD and Stryker.

2002 Auxilium Launches with Engineering Leadership Focus

We started with a mission to help product development organizations achieve world-class productivity by guiding technical leaders, project managers and engineers to implement and sustain best practices, with focus on leadership development as a critical element.

2006 NPD Transformations

As we helped teams to achieve increasing productivity, clients became interested in assistance with a structured approach for holistically transforming their product development process and culture. This typically involved transitioning from ad-hoc methodology to a phased approach with continued focus on leadership development.

2010 1st Agile Project

With agile principles and methods becoming preferred for software development, we began applying the principles to help clients achieve productivity benefits for manufactured products. Through refining our approach we discovered that agile is generally a better way-of-working for product development than traditional waterfall methods.

2017 MAHD Framework Launched

After further refinement of our agile approach for manufactured products, we launched the Modified Agile for Hardware Development (MAHD) Framework and published documents to help teams visualize how to apply the framework. Today, Auxilium utilizes MAHD elements to assist with the change management needed for successful agile product development transformations.
